At RSAC this year, Lenny Zeltser and Yael Nagler introduce the 3-year flex.
In their talk, they discuss a framework for security leaders to use when evaluating and preparing for the next chapter in their professional journey.
With a recognition that sometimes you just need to ‘leave’ – the focus of their discussion was around the options for staying.
They outline 3 options CISOs should consider:
- Keep at it
- Slow it down
- Accelerate
They also present a structure for reflecting on the situation to help inform the path forward that includes:
- The security program
- Your leadership
- The company
